In this upcoming Presidential contest the man under the bus will be Obama. The Left will yell foul, blaming the Republicans/Tea Party for poor Obama’s unfortunate four year passing. You don’t have to worry about Obama. He will make all the money he will need and get all the fame he desires later in his sales of books, speeches, etc., for ”going down with the ship.,” This would save the left for one more Presidential election. Ask Clinton or any other adulteress, running the lecture circuits, about the money and fame, oh yes and the molding young minds full of mush, and working on the left’s future voters.

Remember,

Ask not what you can get from your country,
Just wait until they tell you, what it is you can have.

My money goes to Conservative People as always. If you are running for an office somewhere and you have voted for a liberal before, or compromised on a bill, just once. Don’t ask me for my money. Get it from Stupid.

By Dr. Larry P. Arnn
President
Hillsdale College

The 4th of July cover article of Time magazine claims that the Constitution is irrelevant.

Frightening.

As proof of its irrelevance, Time lists a dozen products of modern society inconceivable to the framers, including antibiotics, "sexting," and Medicare. The Constitution's only virtue, they say, is that it has many meanings and thus leaves us able to do whatever we want to do.

But not everything has changed since 1787. When it comes to ordering society under the rule of law, what is most important? Knowledge of "collateralized debt obligations" or knowledge of human nature?

Here are a few things the framers did know something about: Religious Freedom. Education. Tyranny. Friendship. Happiness. Sovereignty of the People. Virtue.

The Constitution does not allow us to do whatever we want to do. In the words of James Madison, the Constitution was framed out of the belief that "it is the reason, alone, of the public, that ought to control and regulate the government. The passions ought to be controlled and regulated by the government."

The genius of the Constitution lies in its having a definite meaning on the fundamentals--that every individual has rights, that the people are sovereign, and that the governmental powers must remain separated--while leaving wide latitude to local government, or the people themselves, on issues not specifically addressed in the Constitution.

The framers were no gods; the amendment procedure was included for good reason. Yet for more than two centuries the United States has flourished in a project long thought impossible: self-government.

Liberty. Equality. Self-government.

If the Fourth of July is a celebration of these things, it is a celebration of the Constitution as much as the Declaration of Independence. No constitution in history has proven itself more deeply committed to these principles, and no nation has been more richly blessed in return.

The basic truth within the Constitution is that the government cannot have limitless power, for the simple reason that government is made up of people. A Constitution with no definite meaning gives free reign to the passions of those people within and without the government. A Constitution with a meaning honored and obeyed becomes a guardian of all people, for it sustains a government that is strong within its defined powers but limited in order to protect the liberty and equality of citizens.

Instead of scoffing at those Americans concerned that their federal government has overrun its limits in the name of energy and modernity, perhaps Time should consider what an American President said about the principles of the Declaration and the Constitution on the 150th anniversary of July 4th, 1776:

"It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers."
- Calvin Coolidge
By far the more poignant of the two bookends of America’s summer, Memorial Day has its origins in the immediate aftermath of the Civil War, when the commander of the leading Union Army veterans organization proclaimed that graves of the war dead nationwide should be decorated on May 30.

Over time, this date became an official national observance, although it was known as Decoration Day for close to a century before becoming Memorial Day about fifty years ago. However this holiday may have originated or evolved in different parts of the country, it is now recognized uniformly throughout the land as an occasion for remembering and honoring the dead from all of America’s wars.

Memorial Day is probably marked in as many ways as there are cities, towns, villages, and families, from sea to shining sea. Backyard barbeques, parades, and sporting events are standard fare, but so, too, are patriotic speeches and commemorative wreath-layings. As is customary for the Commander-in-Chief, President Obama spent the most recent Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery, site of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the final resting place of tens of thousands of American dead from all of our wars since the Civil War. In his address, the President observed that while we can never repay the debt we owe to our “fallen heroes,” we can and must remember and honor their sacrifice.

The occasion was not forgotten overseas either. Our government, through the agency of the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), maintains 24 military cemeteries in ten foreign countries, in which are buried over 125,000 of our war dead. Twenty-two of these cemeteries are memorials and burial grounds from the two World Wars. At each of them, Memorial Day ceremonies took place this year and have been taking place since the cemeteries were opened decades ago. The American Overseas Memorial Day Association, a private entity headquartered in Paris and dating from 1920, co-sponsored many of these events. Over the years, I have had the honor and privilege of attending a number of such ceremonies, including the one this year at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.

To Americans at home, the Normandy cemetery is no doubt the best known of all our overseas military memorials. President Bush spent Memorial Day there in 2002, as well as the June 6 D-Day anniversary two years later, and President Obama visited in 2009. While there is no denying the special place Normandy commands in our national memory, it is worth knowing that there are many other ABMC sites around the world, each of which bears the same living witness to the blood and treasure generations of Americans have been willing to spend in the defense of freedom—our own, and that of other peoples as well.

It was especially powerful and moving to experience an American Memorial Day observance on foreign soil. Hundreds of Frenchmen were on hand for the Normandy ceremony, and no doubt similar numbers from host countries turned up elsewhere, too. Representatives from the U.S. diplomatic corps and the U.S. military command in Germany gave addresses. As an American military band played an assortment of religious and patriotic hymns, nearly 30 wreaths were laid, mostly by representatives of local French communities and associations dedicated to perpetuating Franco-American friendship and remembering the fallen soldiers.

An especially touching speech by the mayor of Colleville-sur-Mer, the nearest village to the Normandy cemetery, evoked friendship, remembrance, and gratitude, and paid homage to the “soldiers of liberty” resting more than 9,000 strong under beautiful marble headstones. “France will never forget them,” he vowed, as he urged upon all his hearers the duty of passing on to the next generation the memories of what the American soldiers had done. That same morning, by sheer coincidence, I had breakfast at my hotel with a French couple who belonged to an organization called Fleurs de Mémoire (Flowers of Remembrance) and had been coming to Normandy on Memorial Day for more than 30 years. Their chief purpose was to decorate the grave of a soldier from Wisconsin killed behind Utah Beach shortly after the D-Day landings whose own family was rarely able to get to his grave site.

By such individual and collective acts, at home and far from home, is the true significance of Memorial Day honored and kept alive. Let’s hope that as the newly-born summer progresses, we will continue to find ways to remind ourselves that Americans have been uniquely blessed with the fruits of freedom and with generations of countrymen willing to fight and die to preserve them.

Dr. Thomas Conner is William P.
Bar Stool Economics

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100 and If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.)

So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20." so drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected...They would still drink for free...But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'...They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33...But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer..So, the bar owner
Suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before...And the first four continued to drink for free...But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got $10!" "Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!" "That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the Two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments
Engraved on each lower portion of each door.

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see
The wall, right above where the Supreme Court
judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

There are Bible verses etched in stone all
over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in
Washington , D.C.

James Madison, the fourth president, known as
'The Father of Our Constitution' made the
following statement:

' We have staked the whole of all our political
institutions upon the capacity of mankind for
self-government, upon the capacity of each and
all of us to govern ourselves, to control
ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to
the Ten Commandments of God.'

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer
by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid
by the taxpayer since 1777.

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the
Constitution were members of the established
orthodox churches in the colonies.

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would
overstep their authority and instead of
interpreting the law would begin making law
an oligarchy the rule of few over many.

How then, have we gotten to the point that
everything we have done for 232 years in this
country is now suddenly wrong and
unconstitutional?

Lets put it around the world and let the world
see and remember what this great country was
built on
It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.
Therefore, it is very hard to understand
why there is such a mess about having the Ten
Commandments on display or 'In God We Trust'
on our money and having God in the Pledge of
Allegiance.

to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!!

"It's not too early to assess the damage done by America's 44th president. He squandered his mandate and the public's enormous good will. He alienated voters and dropped a heavy yoke on his party with useless spending and a shockingly unpopular health-care bill. With pressure mounting and a potentially epic loss looming, Mr. Obama has gone from a commanding, engaging candidate to an arrogant, self-pitying president. It is not pretty to witness."

"Not surprisingly, the left is frantically calling for a second 'stimulus' and demanding tax hikes for the 'rich' -- a.k.a. our most productive citizens and small businesses. The rehashed ideas include such nonsense as massive infrastructure spending financed by a national infrastructure bank, an old Carter idea; yet more aid to the states; and even that worst of ideas, 'general revenue sharing,' which would force citizens to pay future federal taxes to fund the debt used just to send revenue back to their states.

"These ideas would do a lot more harm than good. To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, we have the best economic system among the advanced economies, 'if we can keep it.' That will require fundamental policy changes, not doubling down on the failed big government experiment of recent years."
Julia Acevedo-Taylor claims she and a friend were being as discreet as possible when they were nursing their "hungry and tired" babies. In the lawsuit filed against Lily O'Brien's Chocolate Cafe, Acevedo-Taylor claims that they were told to "leave and never come back" after the women refused the manager's request to stop nursing their babies.
According to the suit, Acevedo-Taylor fled the store in tears and was so traumatized she can no longer nurse in public. The store's owner counters that no one was asked to leave, but rather that the general manager asked if they could cover up following complaints by other customers. A sign on the door of the cafe reads, "breast-feeding welcome here." Read more now....

April 5th, 1981 ~ September 29th, 2009 Mike Monsoor, Was Awarded "The Congressional Medal Of Honor" For Giving His Life In Iraq , As He Jumped On, And Covered With His Body, A Live Hand Grenade, Saving The Lives Of A Large Group Of Navy Seals That Was Passing By!

During Mike Monsoor's Funeral, At Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery , In San Diego , California ... The Six Pallbearers Removed The Rosewood Casket From The Hearse, And Lined Up On Each Side Of Mike Monsoor's Casket, Were His Family Members, Friends, Fellow Sailors, And Well-wishers.

The Column Of People Continued From The Hearse, All The Way To The Grave Site. What The Group Didn't Know At The Time Was, Every Navy Seal (45 To Be Exact) That Mike Monsoor Saved That Day Was Scattered Through-Out The Column! As The Pallbearers Carried The Rosewood Casket Down The Column Of People To The Grave Side. The Column Would Collapse.. Which Formed A Group Of People That Followed Behind. Every Time The Rosewood Casket Passed A Navy Seal, He Would Remove His Gold Trident Pin From His Uniform, And Slap It Down Hard, Causing The Gold Trident Pin To Embed Itself Into The Top Of The Wooden Casket! Then The Navy Seal Would Step Back >From The Column, And Salute!

Now For Those, Who Don't Know What A Trident Pin Is,Here Is The Definition! After One Completes The Basic Navy Seals Program Which Lasts For Three Weeks, And Is Followed By Seal Qualification Training, Which Is 15 More Weeks Of Training, Necessary To Continue Improving Basic Skills And To Learn New Tactics And Techniques, Required For An Assignment To A Navy Seal Platoon. After successful completion, Trainees Are Given Their Naval Enlisted Code, And Are Awarded The Navy Seal Trident Pin.

With This Gold Pin They Are Now Officially Navy Seals!

It Was Said, That You Could Hear Each Of The 45 Slaps From Across The Cemetery! By The Time The Rosewood Casket Reached The Grave Site, It Looked As Though It Had A Gold Inlay From The 45 Trident Pins That Lined The Top!
"The bottom line is that Arizona wants to enforce the law against illegal aliens. It wants them to be cognizant of the fact that the state is serious about the law, and therefore to conclude that it's best to leave or not come in the first place. Arizona did not deem these people illegal aliens. The federal government did, in laws passed by Congress and signed by the president of the United States. Arizona thinks those laws mean something. If the Justice Department's suit -- and Judge Bolton's line of argument -- prevails, then we'll know that they don't. The real law of the land will be our current, de facto amnesty, imposed by executive whim."

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say

'IN GOD WE TRUST ,'

The law, they say, is being violated..Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write

' IN GOD WE TRUST' on the back of all our mail.
After all, that's our National Motto, and -----all the money we use to buy stamps.

We think it's a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.

If you like this idea, please pass it on and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping............ 'IN GOD WE TRUST ' on our envelopes sounds good to us ...

SOME PEOPLE ARE HAVING A STAMP MADE TOO........lets use it as our signature on e-mails, too! It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, we have a very hard time understanding why there's such a mess about having '

In God We Trust!' on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance. Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to 'sit down and shut up'? If you agree, pass this on, if not, delete!!! BUT REMEMBER IF YOU DELETE THIS, that's one reason why this world is in the mess we're in now.
WE SIT BACK & LET IT HAPPEN!!

IN GOD WE TRUST

The 1974 bill requires an annual budget resolution agreed to by the budget committees of the Senate and the House as an outline of congressional spending priorities for the coming year. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely.. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. There fore, no souls are leaving. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
*End divisiveness*
A public option for healthcare and insurance is the divisive issue, fueling intense argument across the country. Why is President Barack Obama continuing to divide the people and the parties in this way? A government competitor is unnecessary to achieve a more caring, balanced, cost-effective and affordable healthcare system.
If, instead, Obama will seriously look at reform through such options as health savings accounts, allowing interstate insurance competition, tort reform, tax deductions for individuals purchasing insurance privately and other measures that support both individuals and business, he’ll retain what’s working in American healthcare, help change what isn’t and stem the fear that America is sliding further toward government monopoly.

If Obama will take this position and admit it to the American people, he’ll regain trust from both sides. I agree that some folks are getting silly about their criticisms, including their fear about his speech to schoolchildren. But he must realize this is coming from a deeper place: It’s a growing mistrust of the administration that’s beneath the rhetoric.
Obama must acknowledge the concerns and put the federal government back in the position that the Constitution intended: “promote” the general welfare — do not try to “provide” it. The public option needs to die a dignified death.
