AFP-FL applauds Governor Scott’s $618 million tax cut plan, and focus on cutting corporate lease sales tax* TALLAHASSEE – Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL), the state’s leading grassroots advocacy*organization for free market reforms is applauding Governor Rick Scott’s tax cut proposal. Governor Scott’s $618 million tax cut proposal includes significant efforts to reduce the state’s corporate lease sales tax. “Florida is the only state in the country that imposes a corporate lease sales tax,” said state director, Chris Hudson. “Just imagine letting the rest of the country know that we will no longer impose this burdensome tax. Florida will become more appealing than it already is and it will go a long way in ensuring existing Florida entrepreneurs can invest more in their businesses.” AFP-FL will include votes by the Florida House and Senate to cut the commercial lease sales tax in their annual Economic Freedom Scorecard.
