Minutemen Win Legal Battle
This Independence Day!
For the past several weeks I've been writing to you about the struggle between the San Diego Minutemen and pro-amnesty-for-illegals activists. Those who favor open borders have been waging a pressure campaign to force the government of the State of California to discriminate against the Minutemen and to silence them.
Today - this Independence Day - I write to tell you of our great victory that we have won for the Minutemen.
A federal judge has issued a preliminary injunction that orders the state to restore the Minutemen's Adopt-A-Highway sign that the state had taken down!!! He told them to get it back up within 30 days. The efforts by the pro-amnesty lobby have been defeated for now. See this article for more details.
WHAT'S NEXT:
We know that the same people in the 'special rights for illegal aliens' crowd who got our sign taken down, and the Minutemen derided as a racist "hate group," will not give up their fight against us in court. We won the preliminary injunction to get our sign back, but there is still more legal assaults coming.
We've fought the state and the lawyers for the illegal alien lobby in this battle. We still have about $14,000 in unpaid bills that we need to pay before we can begin to fight the appeals that will be made by the illegal alien lobby. If we let them win, they will just be back for more and more.
