| 2009.4.18 6th Annual Day of the Horse 6th Annual Chatsworth Day of The HorseChatsworth Neighborhood Council and Ride On hosted the 6th annual Chatsworth Day of the Horse on Saturday, April 18th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.The event celebrated horses, Chatsworth's western heritage and the special services that Ride On provides. There were prizes awarded to local school students for best safety posters. Guinness one of the worlds’ tallest living horses, at 23 hands wasat the event.There were horse demonstrations including; vaulting, jumping, and dressage. There were displays, food and exhibits, as well as, D.A.R.T and children’s stick horse races and crafts, with many other demonstrations and exhibitors. Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship at 21126 Chatsworth Street, just east of Canoga Avenue, in Chatsworth.Ride On offers therapeutic horsemanship to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. They also have lessons for able-bodied siblings and the general public. Ride On has the only accredited hippotherapy program in Los Angeles County, emphasizing therapy that always involves a licensed physical, speech or occupational therapist.
