Rampart: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division are asking for the public's help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect, responsible for the attempted murder of an Echo Park resident.

On May 2, 2017, around 1:55 a.m., Rampart Area officers responded to an "ADW cutting", located in the 1100 block of Echo Park Avenue in the rear alley.

The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal argument as the victim was attempting to order food from a taco truck in the 1500 block of West Sunset Boulevard. The suspect armed himself with two knives and began punching and stabbing the victim. When the victim fell onto the ground, the suspect stood over him and continued to stab the victim multiple times. The suspect left through an alley south of Sunset Boulevard and west of Echo Park Avenue

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local area hospital. The victim is listed in stable condition. The victim is described as a 47-years-old white male.

The suspect is described as a male, Black or Hispanic, stands 6 feet tall, around 200 lbs., 48-52 years old, full black beard with gray whiskers on chin, wearing a black baseball cap, blue or black "Planet Fitness" T-shirt, tan cargo shorts, and black shoes. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
