A Bill To Decriminalize Raw Milk

04.07.14 09:01 PM

For bureaucratic lunacy and police state tyranny, few examples can be found to top current-day armed raids on farmers and stores for the “crime” of selling raw milk.

People have consumed raw milk since the beginning of time. For thousands of years, they did so without harm.

Around the turn of the 20th century, as farming became more industrialized and more institutional, dairy farms became overcrowded and unsanitary. The cows were kept in unnatural, enclosed pens and their food changed from grass to blended grains that more and more were laced with antibiotics, hormones, steroids and pesticide.

The milk they produced was no longer kept in cooled milk houses and distributed locally. It began to be transported far and wide in unrefrigerated trucks where it was allowed to get warm and develop bacteria.

Rather than develop ways to keep the milk cool and pure, milk pasteurization laws were passed and a growing government bureaucracy established to “keep people safe.” But like all government regulations, unintended consequences developed.

Despite the fact that America has more dairy farming than any other country, U.S. citizens also have more arthritis, or calcium deficiency disease. One reason for this arthritis plague is because of the public health laws that coerce us to drink adulterated milk.

By force of law, all commercial milk must be a dead food before the customer consumes it. Pasteurization is required, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) test of pasteurization is that the alkaline phosphatase enzymes must be dead (by heating) for the milk to be approved for sale to the public.

The alkaline phosphatase enzyme is the live ingredient in raw milk that causes the formation of bone. The American people are denied this bone-forming food though they drink millions of gallons of “milk.”

There is a lot more to pasteurized processed milk than just killing the live enzyme (alkaline phosphatase enzyme) with heat. When the milk protein is cooked with sugar (milk lactose), the result is high toxicity to human biochemistry. When any protein is cooked with sugar, our health goes south fast.

Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and a bipartisan coalition of lawmakers are pushing a bill that will allow for the sale of raw milk. The Milk Freedom Act of 2014 would decriminalize the sale of unpasteurized dairy products. This is a good bill that needs to be supported.

Pasteurized milk is dead food.
