7th annual Victory For Victims Run/Walk

On 4/19/2009 we joined more than 2000 people at Anthony Beilenson Park (Lake Balboa) in Encino,CA for the 7th annual Victory For Victims 5K Run/Walk, 8K River Run & 1K Kids Fun Run.

Proceeds from this Event went to Northridge Hospital Medical Center for Assault Treatment Services. Northridge Hospital Medical Center



Founded in 1997 in response to a community need, Northridge Hospital Medical Center's CATS. is the only 24-hour, 7-day-a-week program for victims of sexual abuse of all ages in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys of Los Angeles County. CATS has three service components:
  • Medical evidentiary examinations and forensic interviews provided in a supportive environment by specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners;
  • Case managed counseling and referrals
  • Outreach and training.
Finish Line Services Provided by: Prime Time Finish Line Company

8K - Overall - Age Groups

Food and Drinks Galore: Panera Bread, Albertsons, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Jamba Juice, and a special serving of delicious hot food from Los Toros Mexican Restaurant.

Fabulous finish line festivities: Health & Fitness Expo, Opportunity Prize Drawings (Tickets for sale on event day to win great prizes! Awards three deep in all age groups. Awards presented by special guest, Olympic Decathlon Gold Medal Winner Rafer Johnson. Enjoy Go Country 105 FM Radio personality Shawn Parr and Commander Chuck Street and the KIIS FM helicopter at the event. Invited back to do the warm-up are the LA Laker Girls. Special free activites for kids. (hair & face painting and balloon sculptures)
