How to avoid the flu vaccine and still keep the flu at bay

We have reached the point in the season where mainstream medicine’s promotion of the flu vaccine is at its peak.

I can’t imagine why anyone would subject himself to the chemical assault of a flu vaccine. If not for massive brainwash and mounds of free publicity and government largess poured into the promotion of flu vaccines, Americans would see the annual flu shot scaremongering as a form of biological warfare; which it is.

Annual flu vaccinations are big business for Big Pharma, doctors and others who get commissions on every vaccination they give. If this were not so, do you think big chain pharmacies would spend so much money and time promoting them?

The flu vaccine is another Big Pharma/Big Government scam. Here’s why:

  • According to research by The Cochran Library, flu vaccines are 99 percent ineffective.
  • Injuries and deaths from the flu vaccine have been the most compensated through the government’s National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program since it was included in the program in 2005. More than half of all claims settled by the vaccine court were for the flu vaccine.
  • According to a report published in The Lancet, flu vaccines prevent the flu in only 1.5 percent of cases.
  • Getting the flu shot annually actually increases your probability of contracting the flu.
  • People who have had the flu vaccine spread 630 percent more “aerosolized flu virus particles” than unvaccinated people. In other words, flu vaccine herd immunity is a myth. Vaccinated people spread the flu virus at a much higher rate than unvaccinated.
  • Depending upon the vaccine you get, your flu shots contain mercury, aluminum and a host of other foreign agents. You can see the ingredients and the adverse reactions experienced by people in flu trials here.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — also known along with the FDA as the official marketing arm of Big Pharma – claims somewhere between 4,000 and 56,000 people will die from the flu every year. Simply put, the CDC is lying.

According to a report published in the British Medical Journal in 2005, actual annual flu deaths are measured in the dozens, not the tens of thousands as reported by the CDC. When researcher Peter Doshi, Ph.D., studied actual flu deaths, he learned, “’[I]nfluenza and pneumonia’ took 62,034 lives in 2001 — 61,777 of which were attributable to pneumonia and 257 to flu, and in only 18 cases was the flu virus positively identified.” In other words, the influenza virus was actually present in only 18 of 62,034 deaths attributed to both influenza and pneumonia.

Doshi did a follow-up study in 2013. He learned that in the hundreds of thousands of respiratory samples taken each year from flu patients in the United States and tested in labs, only 16 percent test positive for the influenza virus. It turns out that most flu cases are actually caused by bacteria or fungus or any of a number of other things except the influenza virus being blamed.

In the study published in the BMJ, Doshi writes:
But perhaps the cleverest aspect of the influenza marketing strategy surrounds the claim that “flu” and “influenza” are the same. The distinction seems subtle, and purely semantic. But general lack of awareness of the difference might be the primary reason few people realize that even the ideal influenza vaccine, matched perfectly to circulating strains of wild influenza and capable of stopping all influenza viruses, can only deal with a small part of the “flu” problem because most “flu” appears to have nothing to do with influenza. Every year, hundreds of thousands of respiratory specimens are tested across the US. Of those tested, on average 16% are found to be influenza positive.

The months December through March have the highest number of flu cases. There’s a reason for that.

In the winter months, people get less exposure to the sun. Less exposure to the sun means lower levels of vitamin D produced by your body.

The Archives of Internal Medicine in February 2009, reported on a study that at the time was said to be the largest and most nationally representative study of the association between vitamin D and respiratory infections. Researchers found people with the lowest blood vitamin D levels reported having significantly more recent colds or cases of the flu. The risks were even higher for those with chronic respiratory disorders, such as asthma and emphysema.

“The findings of our study support an important role for vitamin D in prevention of common respiratory infections, such as colds and the flu,” says Adit Ginde, MD, MPH, UC Denver Division of Emergency Medicine and lead author of the study. “Individuals with common lung diseases, such as asthma or emphysema, may be particularly susceptible to respiratory infections from vitamin D deficiency.”

In a follow-up report in the same publication a month later, Ginde noted that 10 minutes of sunlight on exposed arms and legs two to three times per week would significantly improve vitamin D production.

“Since sunlight is the body’s major source of vitamin D, increases in sunscreen, sun avoidance, and overall decreased outdoor activity, while successful in reducing skin cancers, has probably reduced vitamin D levels in the population,” Ginde said.

As Dr. John J. Cannell of VitaminDCouncil.org explains, research has shown that:

  • People who get the flu are more likely to have low levels of vitamin D.
  • The flu is more prevalent in winter months when vitamin D levels are naturally low.
  • Taking vitamin D can lessen your chances of getting the flu.
  • High vitamin D levels can speed up the recovery process.
Also, according to a paper titled In Sunlight and Protection against Influenza, researchers at the National Bureau of Economic Research found that:
Relative to vitamin D absorbed through food sources such as fortified milk or ingested in pill form, passive sunlight exposure is a more effective source of vitamin D and poses no risk of toxicity at high concentrations… A back of the envelope calculation suggests that if levels of sunlight in September were to rise by 10 percentage points in all states, or roughly the observed difference between lower-than-typical and higher-than-typical sunlight months, there would be approximately 30,000 fewer cases of influenza nationwide. Using public estimates of the cost of influenza, this 4.1 percent decrease in the number of annual cases is valued at $3.6 billion.

Most of the medical community recommends only 400 international units of vitamin D per day. That’s not nearly enough.

The Vitamin D Council estimates that 2,000 IUs a day will probably get 75 percent to 80 percent of white Americans vitamin D sufficient if taken every day, while blacks need more due to their increased melanin pigment decreasing skin production of the hormone. But it actually recommends 5,000 IU a day for adults. The U.S. Institute of Medicine recommends 4,000 units a day for everyone over 9 years old. You should never exceed 10,000 IU except under the advice of a medical practitioner. I personally take 10,000 IU per day.

If you take a vitamin D supplement (recommended), make sure it is natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and not synthetic vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol). Most vitamin D prescriptions are for ergocalciferol. Ergocalciferol has been linked to a host of health problems like high calcium levels; nausea; vomiting; constipation; loss of appetite; increased thirst; urinary dysfunction; altered mood and mood swings; severe lethargy; rashes; itching and swelling of the face, mouth and throat; severe dizziness; and breathing problems.

You should also take vitamin C supplements and eat a healthy diet, avoid processed sugars and all processed foods. Also, drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar at the onset of cold or flu symptoms can help alkalize your body and boost your immune system. If you don’t like the taste, you can add a little honey, which also serves as an antibacterial agent and provides many nutrients.
