Good Morning!

CAL TRANS notified me that they will be temporarily changing

the traffic signal at Topanga Canyon Boulevard at the 118

Freeway to "Flashing Red" on Monday, July 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is required to upgrade the signal, which is all part of the
larger project including the widening of Topanga Canyon off-ramp to accommodate an extra lane. A press release will be issued on July 3,

2008; however, I wanted to give the local community a heads-up on this action, especially since this is a holiday weekend and some of you may be away when the release is issued.

I have no other information at this point.

RONALD REAGAN FREEWAY (I-118) OFF-RAMP SIGNAL

CHATSWORTH - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily change the signal at State Route 118 westbound off-ramp to Topanga Canyon Boulevard, on July 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to a flashing red light in all directions, in order to upgrade the signal. This work is part of a larger project including the widening of Topanga Canyon Boulevard off-ramp to accommodate an additional lane.

Granite Construction is the contractor on this project which will handle increased traffic flow for a new development at Route 118 and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, and will provide a safer commute. Estimated completion is late Summer 2008. Caltrans advises motorists to “Slow For The Cone Zone.”
