The WIRE: Your week in review

03.09.18 12:00 PM

From North Korean Nukes to Maxine Waters (that kook) — and most points in between — it’s time for a look back at the week that was. Personal Liberty Digest® presents: The WIRE!

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has formally invited President Trump for diplomatic talks, reportedly with total denuclearization on the table. Democrats responded to the news with fury.

After we spent all that money buying him those things!

If President Donald Trump pulls this off, the next Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is gonna be awk-WARD.

“I can’t believe they gave you one, you buffoon.”
“That’s what I said, pencil-neck.”

Of course, the apparent new direction will make some waves in the Federal bureaucracy.

The new Secretary of State is a little strange, but he’s murder in the paint.

Democratic Party heavyweights, including members of Congress and leaders of liberal hate groups like the “Women’s March” struggled to answer questions about their collaboration with racist blowhole Louis Farrakhan, offering up weak excuses about how they don’t agree with all of his racism and antisemitism.

We’re not Nazis, we just like the uniforms!

While the media hasn’t turned him into a megastar like David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez, Parkland survivor Kyle Kashuv, who recognizes the NRA is not to blame for the horror at Marjory Stoneman High School, has blazed quite a trail. He’s eschewing publicity stunts for real meetings with real leaders.

It’s almost like he’s in it for change instead of “likes” on Instagram.

While some continued smearing the NRA and its members for the crime, two other survivors of the Parkland atrocity are suing Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel for failing to prevent the massacre.

I hope he ends up writing checks with more zeroes than a “Moms Demand” cult meeting.

Israel’s office responded to criticism by launching their own fact-checking website. Let’s try one: FACT — If you ignore dozens of warnings about a dangerous person… and that person does exactly what he told you he was going to do — while you hide in the bushes — you are homicidal, cowardly and incompetent.

Fact check: TRUE

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh announced plans to send up to 60 busloads of city schoolchildren to the upcoming March Against Liberty in Washington, D.C. While critics questioned the wisdom of taxpayer-funded schools letting kids play hooky for partisan reasons, considering the spectacular crime rate in the “gun-free” city, they’re probably better off.

Those who misbehave will be required to return to Baltimurder and go back to school.

A Utah teenager who had developed an interest in ISIS tried to blow up Pine View High School in St. George with an IED this week. Oddly, the crime went largely unnoticed by the media, probably because they couldn’t find a way to pin it on the NRA.

He didn’t even use an AR-15? Meh.

Golden State Governor Jerry Brown wants to fight to keep California safe for illegal aliens, threatening “war” with the Federal government over his state’s flouting of immigration law. I say let him win. Let California become a “safe space” for every illegal alien in the U.S.

Hey Moonbeam, meet your new neighbors.

Hollywood threw its annual homage to itself last Sunday, wrapping up “awards season” with record low ratings. Apparently serial rapists and violence-peddlers delivering lectures about sexism and “gun violence” from behind a wall of over 500 heavily-armed security personnel isn’t quite the draw they thought it would be.

“Gun control? That’s only for the poors. We’re famous!”

Mexican presidential candidate Ricardo Anaya Cortes campaigned in Los Angeles this week, taking a defiant tone against Trump and the push to defend American borders. He would have campaigned in Mexico, but it isn’t safe.

Besides, the “Mexicans illegally hiding in L.A.” is a huge bloc in Mexican elections.

France set the legal age to consent to sexual intercourse at 15 years old this week. In a related story, Harvey Weinstein and a number of other prominent Democrats announced plans to move to Paris.

We can crash at Roman Polanski’s place. He’s moving to Thailand, where “age of consent” is more of a guideline.

During former Obama spokeshole David Axelrod’s podcast this week, another former Obama spokeshole, Jay Carney, claimed Obama asking him to lie would have been “inconceivable.”

No need to ask, Barry. I got this!

Senator Bernie Sanders (Socialist – VT) says it’s a “outrage” that the CEOs of multinational corporations — specifically Honeywell — make many times the salary of the average worker. Sanders didn’t explain how it’s still cool that his six-figure salary is paid by taxpayers who make far less than he.

Why not sell a couple of your houses and donate the proceeds to the Honeywell janitorial staff?

Rep. Maxine Waters (D – the L.A. riots) bizarre meltdown over Trump continued this week when the old bat claimed Trump mocking her IQ is “racist.”

I thought Trump was being nice. I didn’t think she could spell “IQ.”

And that’s your week in review! For the Personal Liberty Digest®, I’m Ben Crystal saying “See you next week, on The WIRE!”
