Apple cider vinegar has myriad uses and could be considered one of nature’s miracle drugs.

I have written before about it as an aid for digestion-related problems, to treat sinus infections, as a pain reliever and to help with weight loss.

But those are just the beginning of its myriad uses. Apple cider vinegar works great on dandruff, can be used to treat lice, and can be used as an aftershave and as a bath treatment.

For your hair and to rid your scalp of dandruff, make a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. It will improve the pH balance of hair and help repair damage caused by harsh shampoos and coloring agents.

Apple cider vinegar will not kill adult lice but also dissolve the exoskeleton of the nits, which causes them to release their grip on the hair follicle. It is best to use unfiltered and unpasteurized ACV made from organic apples, which has a better concentration of acetic acid. (Note: To kill the adults, you should use olive oil or an essential oil like lavender.)

As an aftershave, just splash it on your face. It will work as an astringent and help the skin repair any small cuts and relieve minor skin irritations. Its astringent action also provides relief to those suffering from problems with oily skin and acne.

As a bath treatment, pour one cup into the bath. It helps to make your skin softer.
