It’s hard to control access to something that can be made at home. When that something is a gun, it’s more than gun grabbers can bear.
Senator Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) describes as
“stomach churning” a breakthrough in 3-D printing technology that has allowed a Texas company to “print,” using a layering process, a .380 handgun in less than 24 hours, with only a single, tiny metal component (the firing pin).
That’s renewed urgency among gun control advocates in Congress to pass a little-publicized bill that would expand the “Undetectable Firearms Modernization Act” of 2003 — a bill one
tech enthusiast calls “a convenient façade… to target expedient individual production of legal firearms components.”
