First lady Michelle Obama has done a great deal for school children: She’s filled their plates with healthier, if less palatable, food and encouraged youngsters to get off their keisters and move around a bit.
Members of the Los Angeles School board have decided to honor the first lady by naming an area elementary school for her. Board members voted unanimously to name Valley Region Elementary School No. 13 after Mrs. Obama, reported
CBS Los Angeles.
This is not the first, or biggest, idea for honoring the Obamas while they still occupy the White House. In May, a group of George Washington University professors pondered whether the President has already earned himself a spot on Mount Rushmore.
